The process begins with a newly poured concrete pad. After you choose from a variety of stencil shapes and stone colors, we lay the stencil on top of the wet concrete and then layer a colored concrete powder over the entire pad. The concrete is then rolled or stamped to create a realistic stone texture. Once the entire pad is dry, the stencil is removed to reveal the pattern of colored stone-like concrete, complete with realistic concrete-colored grout lines.
If you would like to achieve this look using an existing concrete pad but don’t want to go through the hassle and cost of removing the old concrete and pouring a fresh new pad, we can use our overlay process to give you the look you want. With this process, a colored coating is applied to your existing concrete and then textured to create the desired look. This process can be used on all existing concrete surfaces as well as vertical surfaces such as exterior walls, foundation walls, and steps. We can even use the overlay coating indoors for a natural stone or brick look on interior walls and floors.
